What is the Vetrepreneur Project?
The Vetrepreneur Project is a collaboration between the Venture Project of Oshkosh and Salute the Troops of Fond du lac, to help support local veterans with an entrepreneurial spirit, achieve their dream of financial independence.

Our program offers local veteran entrepreneurs the opportunity to attend a 7 week small business accelerator program hosted by Venture Project, and powered by Salute the Troops, Inc. At the end of our 7 week educational program, veterans that complete the entire program will have an opportunity to "demo" their business in front of a panel of judges for a chance to earn $5000 in seed funding from Salute the Troops.

What else do we offer?
Each Veteran that completes our program will be given 1 year of free access to Salute the Troops' subscription based co-working space in Fond du Lac, WI, which offers many different amenities such as free wi-fi, free printing, desk and computer usage, conference room usage, access to our network of professional services like consultants, tax professionals, marketing agencies, and professional development coaches, and best of all free coffee.

BUT WAIT!!! THERE'S MORE!
What if you're not selected to receive the $5000 grant? What if you're not a veteran or even an entrepreneur? No worries, this program has A LOT to offer to everyone!
In addition to the $5000 grant, each veteran also has an opportunity to compete in other "Pitch Contests" around Wisconsin AND The Vetrepreneur Project is giving an open invitation to investors from around the community to provide additional funding opportunities for our participants, or the opportunity for YOU to invest and/or become a partner in a veteran's business.

How do I qualify?
- Be a veteran
- Be a resident of Wisconsin
- Own at least 25% of your business
-Have an EIN number

How do I qualify for the $5000 Grant?
In order to be eligible to participate in our pitch contest and compete for the $5000 grant, the applicant must own at least 50% of the business and have an EIN number. If a the veteran does not have an EIN, Salute the Troops will can assist in acquiring one before applying.
What if i have a business partner?
Business partners may attend the classes regardless of veteran status, but only the applying veteran may pitch in the contest.
